Messenger shallallahu'alaihi wa sallam gave a simple recipe for our house is always safe from the satan, namely in the following hadith:

Jabir bin Abdillah that the Prophet shallallahu'alaihi wa sallam said, "When it was evening did not hold your kids back home because at that time many demons around. As time has passed, let them shut the doors of the house, called the name of God, because Satan can not open closed doors.
